Testing tools for Enyo apps

edited August 2012 in General
Curious to hear which testing tools folks are using to test their UI's on all the various browsers/devices. We are considering Selenium.

  • I've used Jasmine for TDD, which has many nice properties, but it's frustrating that one can't set a message for when a test fails - too often a test fails with "expected true to be false", which is not much help.

Test Anything Protocol looks good if you have a heterogenous system (such as a Node backend and a browser front end, but I haven't actually used any tools that use it.

Definitly don't use Selenium v1; it's far too buggy. Selenium v2 is supposed to be better.
  • From best I can tell based on the various groups I have talked to, Selenium seems to be the default goto for testing webpps.
