I have had some trouble setting up a suitable environment for WebOS development, particularly with enyo. Just on a lark I downloaded a pre-configured eclipse package for Blackberry development and guess what? It downloaded flawlessly complete with full sdk/api documentation and about 100 fully functional working examples of various platform tasks. Also included was a working vm that does not crash. Bottom line - I can start learning by example and get up to speed quickly.
I want to work with WebOS and would like this type of convenience. Any suggestions?

Assuming you're using Windows, you do get a full sdk/api documentation and a lot of working examples, as well as a VM image that works fine - I don't think the emulator itself is included, though.
Oh, wait, maybe it is. Ih ave a "HP webOS emulator" installed in my start menu, that I've never noticed before.
SO, install the SDK from developer.palm.com (make sure it's the 3.0.5 SDK), and have a look in somewhere like "C:\Program Files\HP webOS\SDK" or "C:\Program Files (x86)\HP webOS\SDK" for 64-bit.
In the "bin" folder are several useful commands you can use for various things (the much easier to use equivalent of all of those commands that the BB SDK comes with), and the emulator, samples, documentation, and even full applications from the TouchPad are in the "share" folder.
